The Parliamentary Anti-Corruption Commission called on for Parliamentary investigation for 25 former ministers, including former prime ministers Mesut Yilmaz and Bulent Ecevit. Underlining that corruption which is described as “Fatal tumor” threatened national security, the Commission said that “If looting and robbery is prevented, 776 Trillion TL more will be produced for the budget.” After its 4-month-18 day work, the Commission called on to set up investigation commissions into 25 former ministers who would stand the  High Tribunal for their actions, if convicted.  Former prime minister Bulent Ecevit, and former ministers Kemal Dervis, Sumer Oral, Ahmet Tanrikulu, and Yilmaz Karakoyunlu will be questioned by the commission for their involvement in the POAS bid and privatization decisions. Mesut Yilmaz will be questioned on the Turkbank tender, GUnes Taner on the Turkbank tender and Yasarbank, Husamettin Ozkan on the Vakiflar Bank, Banco Turco loan utilization, Halk Bank and irregular loan utilization from  Agriculture Bank and privatization decisions, Yuksel Yalova and Sukru Sina Gurel on credit utilization from Banco Turco and Vakiflar Bank and privatization decisions and Recep Onal on fraud in loan utilization from  Yasarbank, Egebank, Sumerbank, Eskisehir Bank, Etibank sales, Halk and Agricultural Banks and privatization decisions.  The investigations cover the GSD company of Turgut Yilmaz, the brother of former PM and Deputy PM Mesut Yilmaz.
