Valentine’s Day walk on Beyoğlu

The walk will take place on Istiklal Street, Istanbul’s pedestrian street closed to traffic. According to Beyoğlu Municipality’s announcement, artist Gönül Yazar, a popular Turkish singer and actress, will join the walk. The walk will start in front of Galatasaray High School at the midpoint of Istiklal Street and will end in Tunnel Square. There will be a band playing music and singing. The costumes of the band members are designed by fashion designer Esra Kavurmacı. The historic tram, decorated to represent the importance of the day, will accompany the walking crowd. Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Beyoğlu mayor, will distribute red carnations from the tram.

The Beyoğlu Art Gallery on Istiklal Street will host an exhibition that brings together 17 photographer’s work. The exhibition is named "Love Scenes."
