Turkey's appeal over Volkan red card is on Monday

Turkey's appeal against goalkeeper Volkan Demirel's two-match ban and the $42,150 fine imposed on their national federation will be heard on Monday, Euro 2008 organisers UEFA said on Thursday.

Volkan was red carded in stoppage time in Turkey's dramatic 3-2 victory over Czech Republic in Group A to claim a quarter-final place against Croatia in Vienna on Friday. The keeper pushed Czech striker Jan Koller to the ground. Â
The Turkish federation was also fined over the "improper conduct of supporters, players and officials" during and after the match.
Turkey will play Croatia in the last eight in Vienna on Friday.
