The Justice Ministry prepared a draft motion regulating the concept of “trade secret.” This concept will no longer be used as a shield. Those, who refrain from disclosing such information, will receive a prison sentence of 1 year.The concepts, such as “bank secret, client secret, or trade secret,” cannot be used as a “defense shield” in inspections, investigations, and trials any more. The Justice Ministry prepared a relevant motion to provide transparency in the financial markets and to prevent unregistered economy and legitimization of black money. According to the motion, the Presidency, Parliament Speaker’s Office, Prime Ministry, ministries, courts, public prosecutors, sequestration offices, state officials, and public institutions will be able to demand disclosure of such secrets.
