The Anatolian side gets its first wine club

ISTANBUL - The one and only international hotel on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Marriott Hotel Asia and Anatolian Vineyards, has started the first wine club on the Anatolian side.
The club invites all wine lovers to read the wine line by line, discovering each different taste syllable in the glass and its accompanying harmonious melodies.
Jean Luc Colin, the very first person who comes to every wine lover’s mind about wine experts in Turkey, and Eyüp Kemal Sevinç, who brings a different perspective to Turkish cuisine, introduced the wine club, which was established in cooperation with the Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia and Anatolian Vineyards at the end of June. The conference was held in the Orange Southern Mediterranean Grill Chef Table Restaurant, and it was about the basics of food and wine harmonies and its principles.
A new kind of wine, which is made by different type of grapes named Karaoğlan that only groves in Arapir county village named Yazılı in the eastern city of Malatya, was presented for the first time at the conference.
Wine club rules
To prepare the rules for the wine club, it's necessary to gather signatures from every member. This list of rules is crucial and also interesting; it says the following: "Every member of the club should wear less perfume than usual; dress appropriately, not casual; ladies should not wear lipstick; the person who will not attend a meeting needs to notify the group formally; members who come to the meeting can bring their life partner or kids; at the end of every night ladies will be honored with roses; members can celebrate their anniversary, even their birthdays; members can organize local or international trips to vineyards."
The fee for a year is to set $1,000, excluding the entrance fee.
Except the months of July and August, the club will meet once in a month for 10 months and its trainings will start with a 15-minute presentation about wine culture, and it will continue with 15 minutes of wine tasting workshop. Then it will finish with a 40-minute wine tasting.
Businessmen who are curious about wine or who are planning to make money from wine and wine lovers will meet up in Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia for wine tastings and events that will start in September.
