’Politics deny the causes of the pollution’

ANKARA - Environmental Engineers Chamber, or ÇMO, General Secretary Burçak Karaman Uysal, said the political governments put aside the law, science and public interest with their know all attitude, saying we know the best and do the best for the environment.Uysal also criticized the pollution.

According to the written press release Uysal claims with the rise on the natural gas and the distribution of the cheap quality coals the pollution in big cities are in undeniably bad conditions.Uysal said, with the regulation on quality on air, evaluating and administration, which came into effect June 6 by the Environment Ministry, some values on polluting facts are changed.

Even though the rates of the polluting facts are drawn down, there will be no effect on pollution, said Uysal, adding that the rates are still higher than the ones World Health Organization predicted for a healthy life in the city. "The Environmental Engineers Chamber devised a few offers, hoping that the ministry could consider them. The legal regulations should be taken considering the scientific and public interest, to stop conflicts between officers, the researches about alternative resources, heating systems and renewable energy should speed up, the government should consider the offers of universities and chambers, in the urbanization process the quality of the weather should be controlled, the public transportation projects should accelerated to reduce the pollution, measurement stations should be built, green areas should be built inside the city, infrastructure projects should be healed are just a few of the chamber’s offers.
