Loreena McKennitt to perform in Turkey

ISTANBUL - Canadian singer and composer Loreena McKennitt will give concerts in Turkey and Turkish Cyprus in June. McKennitt first came to Turkey 13 years ago for the International Istanbul Jazz Festival.
As part of her world tour, McKennitt will perform in Istanbul on June 13.
She will be on stage in the northwestern province of Bursa on June 14 as part of the 48th International Bursa Festival, and in northern Cyrus on June 16, according to a written statement by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.
A career of 22 years, countless awards
The Canadian artist who describes her work as "musical travel writing" has collected admiration and countless awards on four continents and in 15 countries during her music career, which has spanned 22 years, in eclectic Celtic music. Her album sales exceed 14 million around the world.
With her previous release, "An Ancient Muse," which also included her interpretation of the famous Turkish tune "Katibim," she took us in search of the Celts' easternmost paths.
Accompanied by various instruments, McKennitt's albums are popular in Turkey. Her latest album, "A Midwinter Night’s Dream," was released last year.
Ticket prices for the concert range from 25-120 Turkish Liras.
