Deadly heat wave strikes Croatia

ZAGREB - Four Croatians are suspected to have died from heat-related illness after temperatures suddenly soared to unseasonal levels in a central town, authorities said.

A 76-year-old woman collapsed and died while waiting for a bus in the town of Sisak, when temperatures reached 30 degrees Celsius, HINA news agency said. Separately, an 84-year-old man died in a similar way while gardening at his Sisak home.
