Başbuğ formally welcomed at Pentagon

WASHINGTON - Turkey's Chief of General Staff Gen. İlker Başbuğ was formally welcomed at the Pentagon in Washington.
Başbuğ was visiting the United States as the guest of Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. Başbuğ was decorated with a medal of honor at a ceremony held at the Pentagon. Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül, who was also in the United States, met with U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
