--NO GETAWAY FOR TERRORISTS WHO ATTACKED ON AKTUTUN
A statement released by the Turkish General Staff has said it has been following PKK terrorists who waged an attack on Aktutun military outpost and who sheltered in Hakurk region in the north of Iraq. The statement said Turkish warplanes bombed 31 targets of terrorist organization in Hakurk midnight Friday.

--511 NEW POLICE OFFICERS TO SPECIAL OPERATIONS
511 police officers including two women received certificates after completing their training on special operations in Golbasi district of Ankara. The police officers will be sent to the southeastern region of the country as members of special operations unit to fight against terrorist organization PKK.

--SUICIDE BOMBER CAUGHT IN ISTANBUL
A female terrorist who was getting prepared to stage a bomb attack in Istanbul and the courier who gave her the explosives to be used in the attack were caught by the police. The police stopped the terrorist in Istanbul's Sisli neighborhood and found 8 kg of explosives in her bag.

--THEY HAVE HESITATIONS REGARDING TURKEY
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mirek Topolanek said that his country desired to speed up Turkey's EU membership process. Topolanek also said that big countries of the Union saw Turkey as a country that would weaken their leadership.

--DIFFICULT VICTORY OF NATIONAL TEAM
Turkish national soccer team defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1 in the World Cup qualifier in Istanbul. The Turkish team, which closed the first half defeated with a goal from the Bosnian team, managed to win the game with two goals it scored in the second half.

--BASBUG IS WELL-INTENTIONED AND DILIGENT, BAYKAL
After his meeting with General Staff Chief Gen. Ilker Basbug, Republican People's Party (CHP) chairperson Deniz Baykal said that Basbug desired to build up a closer relationship with the society. Baykal also described Basbug as a "well-intentioned, diligent and determined" person.

Turkish jets destroyed midnight Friday Hakurk camp where PKK terrorist sheltered. General Staff said Turkish warplanes bombed 31 targets of terrorist organization in Hakurk region in the north of Iraq. The statement said civilians were not harmed by bombardment.--SEIZED BEFORE EXPLODING

Police arrested one woman terrorist who was trained by terrorist organization PKK at Mount Qandil and sent by PKK to Istanbul. Police said she was getting prepared to stage a suicide attack in Istanbul. The woman, in her 30s, was faking pregnancy and carrying 10 kg of explosives and detonators.
