 In the corresponding period last year, the number of employed totaled 20.954 million, while the number of unemployed totaled 2.295 million.  The national statistics office said the number of those employed in non-agricultural sectors rose 347,000, while the number of people employed in the agricultural sector fell 112,000 in 2007.  Excluding the agricultural sector, the unemployment rate was 12.6% in 2007, unchanged from a year earlier.
