The government decided to make DNA reform within the scope of adjustment to the European Union (EU). "DNA data and Turkish National DNA data bank Law" was included in the renewed national program and 2009 became the target. Under the 53-article law that was submitted to the prime ministry within the scope of harmonization with the EU, all biological information of Turkish citizens will be collected in DNA bank, encoded, and recorded.
