Unakıtan meets US investors

Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan briefed US investors about recent developments in Turkish economy and privatization activities. Unakitan, who met US investors in New York, earlier rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange together with Robert Britz, president of the stock exchange.

Foreign investors mostly asked questions about relations with the International Monetary Fund, companies in privatization portfolio and various reform studies.
Unakitan will proceed to Boston on Thursday morning to meet foreign investors in a meeting organized by Morgan Stanley.
Unakitan will return to New York in the evening and continue his meetings on Friday.
Unakitan is expected to return to Turkey on March 21st.
