Two Turks, convicted of killing an Italian tourist, are to be expelled from Denmark, following the completion of their prison sentences, in an historic ruling made by the Danish Supreme court. The decision comes as a surprise because the two convicted criminals have spent their entire lives in Denmark.Hizir Kilic, 17, who was convicted for stabbing 19-year-old Antonio Curra in 2003, was born in Denmark and Hizir's accomplice, Ferhat Kilic, came to Denmark when he was three-years-old.It is the first time in Danish history that first-time criminals born and bred in Denmark have been expelled from the country with no return.Six of seven supreme court judges voted for the expulsion of the Turks due to "the seriousness of the crime they had committed".The judges justified the decision because the boys spoke Turkish, had visited Turkey and had close ties with Turkish culture. Â
