Turkey to sell 100 passenger rail cars to Iran for $115.6 mln

The Turkish Rail Car Factories Co (TUVASAS) has signed a preliminary contract with an Iranian rail way company for the sale of 100 passenger rail cars, company general manager, Ibrahim Ertiryaki, said on Tuesday.

Iran's Ata Tous Railway Company will pay 87.6 million euros ($115.6 million) to TUVASAS for the production of 100 passenger rail cars.

The passenger cars would be equipped with restrooms and LCD TV screens.

TUVASAS would deliver the passenger rail cars in approximately 24 months.
