Turkey and Ireland signed on Friday an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion.

The agreement, signed by Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan and Irish Finance Minister Brian Lenihan, is subject to approval by the parliaments of the two countries and aims to avoid double taxation of the same income in both countries, Turkish officials said.

 

Ireland has been the 75th country that Turkey signed agreement on double taxation and 69 of these agreements have entered into force.
