Turk Dogus Otomotiv halts overseas expansion plans

The Istanbul-based company was in talks with Volkswagen AG to distribute Audi cars in the U.S., the newspaper said. It also planned to expand into North Africa after launching operations in Egypt to sell Volkswagen commercial vehicles, as well as Bulgaria, the report also said.

He said Dogus would see through investments it has already begun, like its projects with German partners Meiller Fahrzeug & Maschinenfabrik GmBH and Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone Gmbh to make trailers, Acar said.
