Sirnak clashes between PKK and military forces; 5 dead

Clashes between Turkish armed forces and terrorists near Kato Mountain between the Sirnak region cities of Uludere and Beytussebap have wound up in the deaths of 2 soldiers and 3 village guards, as well as the injury of 5 village guards.

The fighting between security forces and PKK terrorists took place last night, and while the identities of the village guards have been revealed, the soldiers' names have not. The village guards killed in clashes were Yunus Yildirim, Nurettin Yildirim, and Faysal Yildirim. The Turkish military reports that the operation in the Sirnak region is continuing.
