Recalled raki to be turned into ethyl alcohol

The Mey Alcohol firm, which has recalled countless bottles of Yeni Raki from markets following deaths of people drinking falsely labeled bottles of fake raki, has decided to turn the "fake" raki into ethyl alcohol. The one million bottles of Yeni Raki which were collected will have the correct elements added to them to turn them into fuel. The empty bottles will then be delivered to the Sisecam Factory. The operation is being carried out under the watch and authority of the Bureau of Tobacco and Alcohol, as well as health and environment officials.Â
