Petkim shares to be sold by republic offering

Metin Kilci, the chairman of Privatization Administration Board (OIB), announced on Tuesday that a part of OIB's 88.86 percent shares in Petrochemical Industry (Petkim) will be sold by public offering in April. Kilci told a press conference that Turkey earned about 1.4 billion USD from privatization tenders in 2004.Four percent of Petkim shares had earlier been sold to the public.Â
