Permit Protest

Several groups, that gathered in Istanbul, Izmir, Diyarbakir, Adana, Antalya, Mersin, Van, Trabzon, Izmit, Edirne, Kayseri, and Samsun staged demonstrations to protest the adoption of the permit to send troops to Iraq.A group of 50 people, who gathered in front of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) district headquarters in Umraniye, Istanbul yelled, “AKP is selling the blood of our sons for 8.5 billion dollars!” NGOs, such as DISK, KESK, TMMOB, and TTB staged protests in different cities.�
