One terrorist found dead, another captured in Turkey

Another terrorist was captured in the Yuksekova district in the eastern province of Hakkari, the army also said.

The army has stepped up operations against the PKK -- both inside Turkey and in northern Iraq -- since Oct. 3 when terrorists carried out a deadly attack on a Turkish military outpost near the border, killing 17 soldiers.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist group by Ankara and much of the international community, including the EU and the United States.
