MFA to send a plane to Kyrgyzstan

Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) will send a plane to Kyrgyzstan to evacuate Turkish citizens in this country following the recent uprising which lead overthrow of President Askar Akayev.Sources told that a plane of the Turkish Airlines (THY) will leave for Kyrgyzstan later today. The plane is expected to land at another airport instead of Bishkek Airport.

The plane will also carry a delegation of Turkish diplomats headed by Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Metin Goker.
President Askar Akayev's government collapsed on Thursday after opposition protesters took over the presidential compound and government offices in a frenzy of anger over corruption and a disputed election.
