Kaya Accuses Zana of Ignorance

Yasar Kaya, the founder chairman of banned Democracy Party accused Leyla Zana and her friends who raised opposition to their Kurd declaration, of being ignorant and inconsistent and being unaware of the developments in the world. In an interview aired in the Kurdistan Post internet site, Kaya said that “These are not seniors or representatives.These have effectively brought an end to the party which we handed to them. We remained silent for years because they were in prison. But now we can not tolerate them!” Kaya said that Zana and her friends who announced that they did not share some of the views in their declaration “Lost all chances of representation.” Publisher Umit Firat who had prepared the text had previously said that “Leyla Zana is at the front because she is photogenic.” Zana who flew to Paris met Kendal Nezan, the leader of the Kurd Institute. Here Zana said that she did not want to talk with the press about the Declaration. Zana will receive an award presented to her by Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe. Then on Friday, she will inaugurate a street named after her. She is expected to meet Daniella Mitterant , the chairperson of the French Freedoms Foundation which has a share in the European awards presented to her.�
