Istanbul travel more expensive

The 15 percent hike took effect yesterday, but the public became aware of the change only while attempting to board buses and metrobuses. The Istanbul Electric Tramway and Tunnel Works Department increased Istanbul’s bus and metrobus fares from 1.30 to 1.50 Turkish Liras, while also hiking fares for other modes of transport.
