Inflation to gradually drop in Turkey- IMF report

The IMF report on the world economic outlook said Turkey’s inflation figure would drop parallel with a decrease in commodity prices, and the country's policies on fiscal discipline would also make an impact on its fall.

The IMF said consumer price inflation would reach 10.5 percent in 2008 and that this figure would fall to 8.4 percent in 2009.

Turkey's consumer price index rose 0.45 percent in September bringing yearly inflation to11.33 percent, while the producer price index fell 0.90 percent in the same month, bringing the yearly inflation rate down to 12.49 percent.
