IDEF to be held in Ankara in September

The Seventh International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2005) will be held in Turkish capital of Ankara between September 27th and 30th, sources said on Thursday.
Sources indicated that not only defense industry companies but also companies which have direct or indirect links with the defense industry will be invited to the fair organized by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and the TUYAP fair organization company with the support of the Turkish National Defense Ministry.  Â
The fair will bring together representatives of participating companies with high-level military and civilian decision-making executives and foreign delegations.
190 companies from 22 countries participated in the fair in 1993, 196 companies from 23 countries in 1995, and this number was 218 from 26 countries in 1997. 215 companies from 25 countries joined the fair in 1999, while 256 companies from 30 countries displayed their products in the IDEF 2001.

The ''IDEF 2003'' was attended by 90 Turkish companies, 205 foreign companies from 31 countries, 16 defense ministers and 4 chiefs of general staffs.
