Gov’t registers 14.8 bln liras under amnesty

ANKARA - Turkey registered 14.8 billion Turkish Liras ($8.9 billion) in funds that may be repatriated under a tax amnesty, Finance Minister Kemal Unakıtan said yesterday in Ankara.
The deadline for the final transfers falls on April 30 and the Finance Ministry will announce the actual size of inflows under the amnesty once that has passed, he said.
