ISTANBUL - Factors Chain International’s 41st annual meeting will take place in Istanbul from June 14-20.

Factors Chain International, established in 1968 as the umbrella organization for independent factoring companies, has grown into the world's largest factoring network. Leading factoring companies that are members of FCI have a common aim: to facilitate international trade through factoring and related financial services.

Currently the FCI network counts 244 factors in 65 countries actively engaged in more than half of the world's cross-border factoring volume, and all those members will gather in Istanbul. The main reason the meeting will take place in Turkey is the rapid growth in the Turkish factoring industry, especially in export transactions, according to FCI. The Turkish members of the organization, in collaboration with other member companies, carried out import-export transactions worth 3 billion euros.

The organization, which has 20 members in Turkey, will focus on the status of the factoring industry in the world and in Turkey. The developments in the industry and its contributions to the economy will be discussed.

The organization’s Turkish members include, among others, Akbank, Demir Factoring, Deniz Faktoring, Destek Finans Factoring, Ekspo Faktoring, Eurobank Tekfen, Fiba Faktoring, Fortis Faktoring and Garanti Faktoring. Gisad Faktoring, HSBC, ING, İş Factoring and Pamuk Factoring.
