FERAI TINC: Support From BDI To Turkey

Ferai Tinc says, "At the reception given in the Sabanci Museum yesterday evening by Omer Sabanci, the Chairman of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association(TUSIAD),  the message given by German Industry Federation BDI, which includes  businesmen managing a significant part of the European economy, and the most influential  power behind the German Christian Democrat Party, was very different from that of their leader Angela Merkel that came to Turkey some days ago and proposed a special partnership to Turkey. "Upon Omer Sabanci's call for support to Turkey in its bid to enter EU,  BDI Chairman Dr. Michael Rogowski said, 'We deem Turkey important for the future of Europe.'"However, there is a point upon which businessmen agree. The European public opinion is frightened that we will come and take their employments from their hands. In order to overcome this obstacle, Turkey should immediately roll up its sleeves for a promotion campaign which will correct  its image and should work with professional companies for this purpose."Â
