Energy Cooperation with Bulgaria

Yusuf Gunay, the Chairman of the Engry Market Inspection Board, said that they will receive support from Bulgaria on the method of energy privatization procedures and “Bulgaria has 3 distribution regions and we are reviewing the method of their privatization. We shall carry out a similar practice in Turkey. They will take our privatization on natural gas distribution as a model.“Turkey is not receiving electric power from Bulgaria at the moment; our agreement belongs to the period before the free market practice. Besides, Bulgaria failed to keep fulfill its responsibility, In any case, it is out of the question for the state to purchase electric energy.” �
