Dr Oner: We have been medicating 8 patients against bird flu

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faik Oner from Yuzuncu Yil University Medical Faculty in eastern city of Van indicated that they have been medicating eight patients brought to Van from eastern city of Agri's Dogubayazit town against bird flu. “The positive lab results of some patients have not scared us,” told Oner.

Dr. Oner remarked that the medicine Tamiflu, against bird flu, reached them on Monday and since then they have been using this medicine for those eight patients. We are ready to treat further patients from Dogubayazit and will implement a special treatment, said Dr. Oner.
According to Dr. Oner, one of the patients, Fatma Kocyigit's condition is extremely serious. Other patients are in separate rooms under close observation by nurses.
