Datça hosts wındsurfıng champıonshıp

DATÇA - Turkish Windsurf Championship’s first leg races were held over the weekend in the resort town of Datça.
The event was held at Datça Surf Holiday Club, with sponsorship support from the municipality and Turkish Yachting Federation.
Bora Kozanoğlu, a former world championship runner-up, captured the trophy in the men’s category, while the victor in the women’s category was Lena Erdil. I have won 10 Turkish championship titles in my career," Kozanoğlu told reporters after the race.
"I am happy to have won here, too. Datça has a really tough course, but the wind is perfect." Ertuğrul İçingir finished second in men’s category, followed by Esen Yılmazer. Women’s category witnessed a tough challenge between Erdil and former Turkish champion Çağla Kubat, and Erdil came out triumphant. Melek Toraman finished third.
In the masters category, Ekin Bilem finished first.
