Contradictory Statements by Belgium on Erdal

The Brussels Prosecutor and police are giving conflicting information about whether Fehriye Erday of DHKP-C was taken under custody.Initial information coming from Belgium said that the operation in Belgium was carried out in parallel with the operations in Perugia. The Belgian security told the Turkish police that Fehriye Erdal, one of the assassins of Turkish businessmen Ozdemir Sabanci, was under custody. However later on, another official from the prosecutor's office  said that Erdal was not detained or interrogated. Belgian authorities appear to feel disturbed of the Erdal issue. Meanwhile the members of DHKP-C organization anonunced thatthey will hold a press conference in Belgium today.Â
