At least four people were left injured in a bomb blast that occurred at the Turkey-US Friendship association office in the southern Turkish city of Adana on Monday, according the Anatolian Agency. American Air Forces have a base not far from the city. Cahit Kirac, governor of Adana province told AA that five people, four of them English language students had been hurt in the blast. It is not yet clear who is responsible for the bomb.

"The explosion was in the hall on the ground floor at the entrance. Four people have been injured, but none of them seriously," the head of the U.S.-Turkish association in Adana, Cevdet Gulap, told Reuters by telephone.
Turkish-US relations are warmer than they were in 2003, when Turkey refused to allow US troops to enter into the north of Iraq from the Turkish border, however, there is plenty of anti-American sentiment among the Turkish public.
