NAIROBI - Thomas Cholmondeley, the heir of Kenya's most famous white settler, was found guilty of manslaughter yesterday by a court in which he faced charges of murdering a black man on his ranch three years ago.
"The accused is found guilty of manslaughter," Nairobi high court judge Muga Apondi said, reducing the charge of murder. The Eton-educated aristocrat was accused of murdering Robert Njoya, a suspected poacher, in May 2006.
