2400 Are Out Of List

The TRNC government deleted 2400 nationals of Turkey-origin, including artists, politicians and celebrities of the media world, from the “List of those who will be EU nationals”, which it submitted to the UN.
These names were left outside the conditions of Annan Plan since they did not reside in TRNC for at least one year within the last five years. For this reason, they did not take place in the list submitted by the TRNC government to the UN.
Names of 41 thousand people in the list, was prepared in great secrecy, according to the Annan plan stating that 45 thousand TRNC nationals of Turkey-origin would also be the nationals of the Cyprus Republic to be established.
In case a Yes vote is cast at the referendum, the nationalities of 2400 people will come to an end. All of those of Turkey-origin living in TRNC were put in the list submitted to the UN. 8 thousand of these people gained this right because they were married to Turkish Cypriots.
