Regardless of which political party deputies of Turkey's southern provinces are members, whenever we meet, they all ask the same question:

Who will the residents of this region vote for if the region’s highly popular Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Democratic Society Party (DTP) are closed?

Think about this for a while; there are two parties in the southern provinces of Turkey. The AKP and the DTP... They garner the highest number of the votes in this region. The Republican People's Party (CHP), the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) have considerably less support, while the country’s other major parties, the Democratic Party (DP) and Motherland Party (ANAP), are not even a consideration.

So, in this situation, what will happen at the upcoming local elections?

Of course this question should not be solely considered assuming the Constitutional Court’s verdict in the ongoing case against the parties. The problem is greater than this. It is much deeper. And this is not the type of question that lawmakers can answer.

It is a very biting and bitter problem for Turkey. It could be considered like a cancer of a politically unproductive country.

It is the result of the understanding that believes, “Wait, the solution lies with the European Union."

Let's ask this question to those imposing buildings, the men in black and the very sober "central committee" in Ankara:

What is really going to happen?
