The game will not be played in Rize, as the Georgian team could not leave Tbilisi due to the ongoing conflicts, Omer Yilmaz, Rize's Youth and Sport Administrator, told the state-run Anatolian Agency.

WIT Georgia would play the home leg of the fixture at the Ataturk Stadium in Turkey's Black Sea port of Rize, due to political problems in the north of the country, UEFA said in a statement earlier on Tuesday.

WIT is the last club from Georgia remaining in the UEFA-organized competitions this season. Champion Dinamo Tbilisi was knocked out of the Champions League last week by Greek side Panathinaikos.

Dinamo's German coach Rainer Zobel and six foreign players left Georgia earlier this week to seek safety in Germany.

Georgia launched an attack last week in an attempt to regain control over the pro-Russian province of South Ossetia. Russian forces responded by sending in troops and conducting air strikes, with hundreds of civilians being killed.
