I think that the next generation will assess the closure case filed against ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) as "one of the most important things happened in our political history."

Because it is not easy to see such thing that AKP had encountered in another country’s history.

But on the reasons of this incident, we do not share the same opinions with those writers who have “close relations with AKP and also our European mentors.

We will not speak about the merits of the "case" since it can mean affecting a continuing case process.

But, shortly we need to say that the democratic system cannot be used just for decoration. It should be used both to protect the interests of the country as well its nation and to defend the country's basic values. If not, then it could turn into a tool for destruction.

Both the democracy and its institutions, especially the judiciary, have an written responsibility, which is the protection of the basic values that created today’s Turkey.

We are sure both the European mentors and their domestic supporters are also aware of this reality like us.

This is why they tried everything to put all institutions, including the top prosecutor and Constitutional Court, under pressure. They stated many arguments including Turkey would fall into uncertainty, the foreign capital would leave and our economy would bankrupt in case of a possible closure verdict.

The EU spokesmen almost said it would be a dream for Turkey to gain full membership to the EU in case of closure.

All of these moves were typical acts of getting result by "blackmailing."Â

Turkey has faced these kinds of suppressions many times in the past.

We can remember many examples our politicians who bowed to these pressure in the past.

But we don't remember our judiciary did such a thing.

In fact, judiciary checks the rule of law and analyzes the case in line with this principle. The rest is not its business. This is why we are sure that the Constitutional Court will end this process with success. Â
