BTC pipeline increases capacity

ANKARA - Maximum daily capacity on BP’s Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan pipeline will rise to 1.2 million barrels a day this month following upgrade work, Milliyet reported yesterday, citing Can Suphi, BP’s chief in Turkey.
Volume flowing through the pipeline to Turkey’s Ceyhan terminal is steady at around 800,000 barrels a day, Suphi told the newspaper in the Mediterranean city of Adana. Making use of the increased capacity depends on more production from wells on the Caspian Sea, he said, according to Milliyet.
