What speedy rounds he is making in the capital....
Never before have I seen a politican as speedy in his rounds as Abdullah Gul, as he tours Ankara to drum up support from MHP, DTP, the independents, BBP, Hak-Is, Turk-Is, DISK, Memur-Sen, TOBB.....and just as it seemed he might slow down or stop, he went to TISK, TUSIAD, MUSIAD, and more.
Yes, not even a speedy pizza delivery boy could catch that Abdullah Gul.

The presidential candidate feels the need to go door to door telling people how he will "stay tied to secularity and the constitution." Doesn't it seem strange to you? Isn't it natural that a president would stay tied to secularity and the constitution? Well, what can we do? We are now in the second stage of the counter-revolution against the secular republic of Turkey. What you have been watching over the last couple of days is the transfer from the stage of being "the administration in power" to becoming "the state." The voting in the Turkish Parliament for president is simply for show, nothing more than a ceremonial process. There is no one who will believe that someone who up until yesterday said whatever he wanted about Ataturk, secularity, the republic, and Ataturk's reforms has changed in a moment to become "tied to secularity and the constitution." No, this is impossible.

And soon, you too will see and understand that Turkey is now a "religious country." And when you turn and look behind you, you will feel that this nation has been excluded from the civilized world, and has joined the Arab countries. And when you really see what this nation, as beautiful as paradise, has become, you will tear your hair and beat your chest.
