Suicide bomber's identity confirmed by Ankara Governor

A confirmed announcement has been made by the Ankara Governor, Kemal Onal, that in fact the bombing which took place yesterday evening in a main thoroughfare of the capital was a suicide bombing.
The name of the suicide bomber was released as "Guven Akkus." Akkus was reportedly born in 1979 outside of the central Anatolian city of Sivas, and has a police record of having been involved in other events of public disturbance. Akkus had been previously arrested for resisitance to police, and for putting up illegal posters, and had even spent 2 years in prison at one point.
