Yesterday in Malatya, the local Human Rights Bureau stages a protest march in front of the building which houses Zirve Publishing, the site of the murders which took place on Wednesday. A group of 250 people marched and left carnations on the doorstep of the buildling, with Human Rights Bureau President Senel Karatas saying to those assembled that the 5 people captured were only the "tip of the iceberg."

Meanwhile, in the wake of the event, it has emerged that the 3 men who were killed at Zirve had thought that the group of young men had come to debate religious theory, and didn't hesitate to let them in. It was only when a friend of Ugur Yuksel's stopped by the publishing house and noticed some unusual things about the way the door was locked that the police were informed, and security forces arrived, to find the men having been attacked. Attacker Emre Gunaydin leapt from the third floor window when he saw the police arriving, and is still in serious condition in the hospital, and is thus unable to make a statement.
