Take precautions against the heat wave

The Turkish State Meteorology Service has issued a heat warning. Temperatures will rise up to 6-8 degrees above normal for this time of year - a potential health hazard, especially for young children and the elderly.

Temperatures are expected to reach 42-44 oC in Southeast Anatolia, while climbing to 38-40 oC in the Black Sea region, West Anatolia and Central Anatolia, 36-38 oC in the Marmara region, and 37-38 oC in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions of Turkey.
The weather is expected to be especially muggy in high-humidity coastal areas.
