Four foreigners, two Americans, a Czech and a Vietnamese national, were killed in a suicide truck bomb attack on a hotel in the Pakistani capital, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday. (UPDATED)

In all 53 people were killed and 266 were wounded, top ministry official Rehman Malik told a news conference.

Eleven foreigners were among the wounded in the Saturday evening attack on the Marriott Hotel, Reuters reported.

A Danish diplomat is still missing after the hotel bomb attack, the Danish Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The attackers used 600 kilograms of explosives planted in a truck used for transporting stone whish was exploded outside the hotel crowded with families gathered for the breaking meal the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The blast caused a crater of 59 feet wide and 24 feet depth and ignited gas cylinders in the kitchen, setting off a blaze that swept through the 300-room hotel. A number of the victims reportedly leapt to their deaths to avoid the blaze that broke out on the upper floors.
