But these reactions did not affect the Prime Minister or any of his cabinet ministers in any way at all......
And when it comes to the dark events of Hakkari and the provinces around it....
Words to the effect that there would be light shed on what actually happened seem now to have been just for show.
Prime Minister Erdogan showed his own lack of responsibility when, instead of making a speech which would have unified our citizens in those troubled and delicate regions, he refeshed the "primary/secondary indentity" argument.
These are developments which don't bode well for our country's future.
Clearly, the Prime Minister is very confused on the subject of identity.
The situation shows that the religious high school education he received has affected him to the point that he is unable to identify with the concept of a "people."
But the fact is, the responsibility and duties that Erdogan has are not of those of a person representing one particular religious group. He is, after all, the prime minister of 75 million people.
The most sacred task that lies before him today is to ensure the continuance of the unified state in his hands, without allowing it to be divided or in any way broken apart.

Unfortunately, the depressing events don't stop there......
Let's take a look at some of the disturbing practices of some municipalities.....
The municipalities under the influence of this ruling party, which says it is doing everything to ensure Turkey's EU accession, are in a competition to see who can forbid alcohol consumption first in their municipality facilities.
They are throwing up every blockade possible in front of places selling alcohol, and forcing restaurant with liquour licences to carry their business outside of city limits.
They are dividing public swimming pools into separate sections for males and females.
They are encouraging the building of hotels catering to families where the women are turbaned. These hotels, in turn, are busy setting up "women's beaches."
Meanwhile, the food sector is dividing foods into two parts: "helal" food and "haram" food. ('Helal' meaning religiously authorized, 'haram' meaning not sanctioned by Islam.)
These unpleasant developments will continue. Prepare yourselves to witness further archane implementations over coming days and weeks.
In short, it is time to realize that the "secular, democratic republic" is in serious trouble.
