Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and the other cabinet members reportedly signed the international agreement, which dubbed the National View as a terror organization, without reading its justification carefully. Deputies Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, Abdullatif Sener and Mehmet Ali Sahin, Minister of Public Works Zeki Ergezen and Forest Minister Osman Pepe, who originate from the National View tradition, also signed the agreement.Cicek: The justification can be changedGovernment Spokesman Cemil Cicek said that such an arrangement would not create disturbance in the AKP Group because the AKP government was not a National View action and that if there was a necessity, the justification of the agreement could be changed.A high-level official from the German Embassy in Ankara said that no organization name was mentioned in the agreement and that they were astonished with the news on the newspapers. The justification attached to the agreement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that, “Terror organizations such as PKK-KADEK and DHKP-C are able to continue their propaganda activities under the name of “cultural activity” although they have been banned in Germany, while fundamentalist groups like the National View and Anatolian Islamic Federal State carry out their activities in Germany against our state.”
