Austrian FM: Will not stop Turkey’s EU membership

VIENNA – Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger said halting Turkey’s European Union accession process was not on their agenda.

Responding to remarks by Former Foreign Minister Ernst Strasser that Turkey’s accession process should be halted, Spindelegger also said talks between the EU and Turkey would not automatically result in Turkey’s membership and that the talks could be halted in the future.
