Hurriyet daily learned the names of 11 judges, who are accused of receiving bribes under the Lancet-2 operation and into whom the Appeals Court Chief Prosecutor’s Office launched a preliminary investigation. Nevertheless the daily did not publish those names because of legal restrictions. On Tuesday, Appeals Court’s Attorney General Nuri Ok called on those jurists, whose names were mentioned in the allegations -in the Lancet-2 operation- to resign if they were not confident about themselves.The members of the Appeals Court argued that convicts should be immediately found to prevent the judiciary from being further damaged by rumors and suspicions. Meanwhile, Constitutional Court President Mustafa Bumin said that the investigation into the bribery in judiciary must be kept a secret “To avoid damaging the honour of the people under investigation.”�
